LUX LIV wasn’t born in a boardroom — but with a friendship. Lucas and João met in Lisbon in 2016, brought together by their shared passion for creating, building, and transforming. Over the years, what started as casual collaboration grew into something greater — a partnership rooted in trust, mutual respect, and a belief in doing things differently.
Their paths to real estate were anything but conventional. Lucas, born in France but deeply connected to Portugal, started as an entrepreneur at a young age, managing bars and events. By 21, he was making independent moves in real estate, guided by an instinct for uncovering hidden potential in Lisbon’s neighbourhoods.
João, on the other hand, began his journey by buying and restoring apartments with a focus on functionality and aesthetics. His eye for detail and talent for crafting spaces that are both purposeful and visually compelling brought a creative edge to their shared work.
In 2023, their shared vision for real estate — a focus on people, authenticity, and thoughtful transformation — led them to form LUX LIV.

LUCAS DJOUADI
Lucas grew up, balancing the precision of French culture with the warmth of Portuguese life. By 14, he was already working in bars, and by 17, he opened his own. Studying economics in Paris sharpened his skills, but it was his early real estate experiences that revealed his passion for the intersection of design, history, and community.
In 2015, Lucas returned to Portugal, drawn by the opportunity to transform spaces in a way that felt personal. From music festivals to floating hotels, his projects have always been about working with the right people to create something meaningful — an ethos that continues to guide Lux today.
JOÃO VELEZ
João's approach to real estate has always been based on practicality and care. He started with a simple idea (buying, renovating, and reselling apartments), but his focus on detail and long-term impacts quickly increased his confidence in the industry. João's work has always been about giving spaces more value.
From an early start, João recognized the value of relationships and sharing knowledge. He created a presence on social media by sharing real estate insights and tips, which helped him build a loyal audience and establish himself as a trusted voice in real estate investment.
